Overview of Position

Flock and Rally Integrated Communications & Marketing, a progressive, women-owned and led agency based in Columbia, South Carolina, is seeking a digital marketing strategist to join our team of #flockstars.

This is a full-time position focused primarily on leveraging clients’ digital real estate to garner attention, generate awareness, sales and leads while harnessing the power of the digital landscape to improve their online presence— alongside teammates who are coordinating and implementing integrated communications and marketing initiatives across multiple channels.

You will be one of the agency’s foremost authorities on all things digital, leading integrated strategies encompassing SEO, content marketing, website optimization, email marketing and organic social media. Additionally, you will serve as an account supervisor, managing a portfolio of clients, as well as key implementor of digital marketing services.

You are not only obsessed with the latest trends on social media, but you also know how to create content that brings our clients into the conversation. You are a data wizard and understand Google Analytics (GA4), Meta Business Manager and other software to track ROI. You know how to build website information architecture and understand what copy, content and videos speak to audiences.

As a highly creative, motivated, and detail-oriented person, you will be joining our values-driven agency of unicorns, flamingos, data nerds, people people and responsible grown-ups directly supporting our team and clients. This position is based in our downtown Columbia, S.C. headquarters and reports to the director of channel strategy. Compensation is based on experience.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing strategy

Develop and lead high-level digital marketing strategies tailored to meet client objectives and drive measurable results.

  • Dig in with clients to understand their goals and develop plans using the digital landscape to reach them.

  • Help clients set measurable objectives and create roadmaps to meet and exceed them.

SUBJECT MATTER EXPERTISE

Stay abreast of digital marketing industry trends, best practices and emerging technologies to maintain a cutting-edge approach.

  • Consistently bring fresh ideas and applications to the clients you manage and to the team, educating and training internally.

LEAD DIGITAL MARKETING IMPLEMENTATION

Implement and/or oversee the execution of digital marketing initiatives across the agency. Provide guidance and support to internal teams to ensure the successful implementation of strategies and tactics.

  • Create content for various platforms including social media, websites, blogs and other

    channels to achieve desired results and goals of clients.

  • Manage social accounts for a number of clients, eventually using interns and other key

    staff members to execute strategies.

PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS

Utilize data-driven insights to evaluate campaign performance, identify areas for improvement, and optimize strategies for maximum effectiveness.

  • Run reports, collect data, analyze and present findings and recommendations to teammates and clients.

ACCOUNT SUPERVISION

Serve as the primary point of contact for designated client accounts, providing strategic guidance, fostering strong client relationships and ensuring the delivery of exceptional service.

  • Develop strong relationships with a set of clients, overseeing all integrated strategies and team members.Higher educational degree in accounting.

Business Development

Collaborate with the business development team to craft proposals to help generate new and existing digital marketing business.

  • Contribute to and collaborate with the business development team to inject digital

    strategies during the proposal phase of the sales cycle.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, advertising, digital audiences or a related field.

  • At least five (5) to ten (10) years of experience in digital marketing, with a proven track record of developing and implementing successful strategies across multiple channels.

  • Expertise in SEO, content marketing, website optimization, email marketing and organic social media.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex

    ideas clearly and persuasively.Customized, High-Impact Work that Elevates the Status Quo.

  • Demonstrated leadership ability, with experience managing client relationships and leading cross-functional teams.

  • Proficiency and/or strong knowledge in digital marketing tools and platforms, such as social media channels, Google Analytics, Meta, SEMrush, Hootsuite, MailChimp, Constant Contact, etc.

  • Ability to learn and understand new software platforms and reporting tools.
