Overview of Position
Flock and Rally Integrated Communications & Marketing, a dynamic, women-owned agency based in Columbia, S.C., is seeking a social media intern to join our team of #Flockstars. The internship program offers an opportunity to be immersed in the day-to-day of a full-service marketing and communications agency and gain hands-on experience.
The social media intern will support the Channel Strategy Departments, which includes public relations, social media and digital communications. This intern works closely with the Channel Strategy team to assist with client campaigns, create engaging content, and support social media implementation. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented and eager to develop their social media skills.
This is a paid internship and does not guarantee employment at the completion of the program.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Social Media Management: Helps curate, create and schedule content across social media platforms for various clients, monitors social media engagement and contributes to monthly reports.
Planning and drafting social media content.
Capturing, editing, and creating engaging content.
Monitoring and responding to social media engagement.
Supporting the management of Flock and Rally social media.
Assisting with influencer management.
Contributing to social media reporting support.
Research & Analysis: Conducts research on social media trends, influencer opportunities and industry best practices. Assists in analyzing digital metrics and reporting on key campaign performance indicators.
Administrative Support: Provides project organization, scheduling, file management and other duties as assigned.
Preferred skills & Qualifications
Strong mobile video, photography and editing skills required.
Self-starter with the ability to manage timelines and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
A knack for developing fresh ideas, a desire to experiment and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt to different voices, audiences and platforms.
Candidate must live in the Columbia, S.C. region. While the agency observes a hybrid and flexible work environment, interns must be regularly available for local meetings and client needs. About Flock and Rally: Integrated Marketing and Communications
Program Structure
This position will start in June 2025 and run through December 2025.
Office hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday.
Interns will be required to work 10-15 hours/week.
Compensation for this internship is $12/hour.
