TakoSushi, a casual dining concept known for its fresh Southwest and Far East fare, partnered with Flock and Rally to lead a strategic public relations campaign for its expansion into Forest Acres and Lexington, South Carolina.

With the TakoSushi brand growing from six to eight locations across South Carolina and Georgia, the goal was to generate buzz, secure earned media coverage and attract key audiences who live and work near the new restaurants. The campaign leveraged media relations, influencer outreach and exclusive soft opening events to drive engagement and maximize visibility.

Flock and Rally planned and implemented a turnkey grand opening media and community relations campaign, which included the creation of messaging, campaign assets, story pitches and management of behind-the-scenes media tours. Additionally, we successfully organized and managed RSVPs, reservations and guest communications for the invitation-only soft opening lunches and dinners at both locations.

The campaign exceeded its objectives, generating widespread excitement and strong media coverage, with a total of 25 placements, including 21 articles and four broadcast segments. Additionally, the soft openings reached full capacity, providing an exclusive experience that led to significant word-of-mouth promotion and strong opening-day attendance.

Flock and Rally’s strategy successfully positioned TakoSushi’s newest locations as must-visit dining destinations, ensuring continued visibility and customer engagement beyond the grand openings.
