Mary Kate Korpita is a strategic communications leader from Columbia, S.C. With more than 10 years of marketing and communications experience, Mary Kate oversees the client experience and serves as a key strategist, partnering with organizations to develop integrated marketing strategies, strengthen brand identities and drive measurable results while supporting agency growth.

Prior to joining Flock and Rally in 2019, Mary Kate worked in Dallas with global communications firm Edelman, where she specialized in corporate communications, strategic planning and content strategy for national and international clients. She has also held communications roles with nonprofit organizations across South Carolina, including the South Carolina Broadcasters Association and the South Carolina Governor's School for Science & Mathematics Foundation, building a strong foundation in mission-driven storytelling and stakeholder engagement. She has served as a board member and marketing committee chair of Historic Columbia’s Palladium group, and she has been a member of the I Believe Anita Hill/We Believe Women host committee.

As a member of Flock and Rally’s leadership team, Mary Kate leads clients through comprehensive strategy and planning processes, delivering marketing plans and branding with comprehensive usage and messaging guidelines as well as integrated communications strategies. She manages director-level agency staff, serves on the firm’s executive leadership team and identifies and implements process improvements across the client journey. Her recent clients include Able South Carolina, OneSpartanburg, Inc., Disability Rights South Carolina, and the South Carolina Institute of Medicine and Public Health.

Mary Kate earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations from the School of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of South Carolina. She is a graduate of Leadership Columbia and is deeply engaged in the local community, currently serving as board chair of the ColaJazz Foundation and treasurer of the Elmwood Park Neighborhood Association. In 2024, she was recognized as one of Columbia Business Monthly’s Best and Brightest 35 and Under. Projects on which she has served a key role have earned numerous awards from the S.C. Public Relations Society of America, the International Association of Business Communicators S.C. chapter, and the American Advertising Federation Midlands chapter, including Best in Show honors.
