Overview of Position

Flock and Rally Integrated Communications & Marketing, a progressive, women-owned agency based in Columbia, South Carolina, is seeking an integrated media buyer to join our team of #flockstars. This position will be responsible for negotiation and placement of all media types with an emphasis on digital. Critical thinking and superior math skills are required, as well as an eagerness to take on responsibility at a growing agency. This position will report to the director of advertising.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the execution of integrated media plans that include a variety of digital channels, as well as traditional tactics like TV (broadcast, cable), radio, print and OOH.

  • Plan, execute and optimize paid social media/paid search campaigns.

  • Create and manage media buys from negotiation through placement, trafficking, optimization and post-buy analysis.

  • Work with director of advertising to make informed media recommendations and provide POVs as needed.

  • Create frequent and consistent tracking and analytics reports to be used both internally and externally, including insights and recommendations.

  • Manage advertising budgets and vendor invoice approvals and work closely with accounts payable to ensure payments are made in a timely manner.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media vendors.

  • Provide deadlines for materials and mechanical specs to project managers and creative team, manage creative deadlines and ensure they are met.

  • Traffic ads to appropriate vendors with clear instructions for implementation.

  • Help train and manage media interns as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, or related field.

  • 2-4 years of professional experience, with an emphasis on digital media.

  • Google Ads and Analytics certifications preferred.

  • Experience with media buying software Advantage or Strata is a plus.

  • Working knowledge of traditional media tactics (print, OOH, radio, television).

  • Knowledge of conversion optimization and pixel implementation.

  • Experience with analytic and reporting tools and ability to digest research and analytics to make informed recommendations.

  • Experience using collaborative team communication and project management applications like Asana.

  • Candidate must live in the Columbia, South Carolina region. While the firm observes a hybrid and flexible work environment, employee must be regularly available for local meetings and client needs.

  • COVID-19 vaccination or testing requirements.

  • Experience with both planning and buying social media advertising across multiple platforms (Facebook/Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, Twitter).

  • Experience developing and managing paid advertising campaigns for Google Ads products (Search, Display, YouTube/Video).
